Het Sieraad is looking for new DJ talent.
Not just the biggest names, the most followers or the DJ with the best network. We are looking for people with a sound of their own, a strong musical story and the ability to carry a dance floor.
With SIERAAD SELECTS we give new talent a stage, guidance and a direct route into the club programme of Het Sieraad.
From the heats to the Atrium
Every month, ahead of a club night, we host a new heat. Four selected DJs each get thirty minutes to play live for the crowd and a jury from the club and music industry.
Two DJs go through from each heat: one chosen by the crowd and one chosen by the jury.
After three monthly editions comes a quarterly final in the Plaatwerkerij, where the six heat winners face each other. Each quarterly final again sends a crowd winner and a jury winner through.
After four quarters, eight DJs meet in the grand annual final in the Atrium. Two winners are chosen once more:
- A jury winner, chosen by a professional jury
- A crowd winner, chosen by the visitors
Both winners earn a place in the programme of Het Sieraad. We also actively introduce them to our network of bookers, festivals and agencies.
Who are we looking for?
The contest is for DJs who are ready to take the next step. You do not need a full calendar, a booking agency or thousands of followers yet. We mainly look at:
- Musical identity and track selection
- Technique and build-up
- Presence and connection with the dance floor
- Originality
We are not looking for a finished product. We are looking for talent with a signature of its own, ambition and room to grow.
