Jochem Paap, a Dutch producer based in Rotterdam whose blend of melodic electro-pop with a harder Detroit-fuelled edge counts among the most praised post-rave European techno. He broke through in 1992 with the minimal track 'Pullover' and appeared on Warp's Artificial Intelligence series, including his 1993 debut album 'Ginger'. He later set up STOOR in Rotterdam as a studio and label, a laboratory for both novice and veteran electronic artists.
