Chris Schwarzwälder

Deep house

Producer, musician, DJ and serial collaborator with a restrained, deep house style that is hard to pin down but instantly recognisable. Born in Frankfurt in the eighties, he started out playing hip-hop in the nineties and fell for techno while making beats on his MPC2000 and dropping into Robert Johnson in Offenbach. He moved to Berlin in 2009 and began DJing at KaterHolzig, where he found people who thought about music the way he did; he has since played Burning Man and Wonderfruit.
